Pike at Rainbow Harbor

Long Beach, CA

Snyder Langston

Snyder Langston was selected by Developer Diversified Realty to construct this high profile retail entertainment center that includes approximately 370,000 s.f. of waterfront restaurants and entertainment venues, including a 14-screen state-of-the-art Crown Theater and GameWorks, a 40,000 s.f. entertainment destination. The Pike at Rainbow Harbor will be divided into several distinct zones, each featuring its own architecture, lighting and landscaping to provide a unique entertainment experience.

Among the project’s signature elements are: a pedestrian bridge over Shoreline Drive that is reminiscent of the Cyclone Racer wooden roller coaster that operated in the City’s historic Pike amusement zone from 1930 to 1968; a turn-of-the-century carousel with hand-carved horses; a town square serving as a community gathering place and featuring a large plaza for events and programs such as concerts, art shows and other activities.
