Milwaukee World Festival (Summerfest): South End Development Phase I

Milwaukee, WI

Hunzinger Construction Company

The Summerfest site consists of 22 acres, the south end of which represents the area of the site where the infrastructure is the most underdeveloped. This latest two-phase engagement required redesigning and replacing the infrastructure over the entire 22 acres to support existing and expanded facilities as well as mass site grading of the grounds and surrounding parking lots. Major new project elements include an expanded South Entrance with multiple support buildings housing box office and guest services functions, a new Briggs & Stratton Stage and reconfigured seating area, the new BMO Harris Pavilion, a new triple vendor building with a second floor VIP deck, vendor support buildings, new restroom buildings, as well as major renovations to a number of existing vendor buildings and performance venues.
