Alliance Construction Solutions was hired as the Design/Builder to complete renovations on the once remarkable Columbine Building located in Downtown Denver, Colorado. Designed in 1954, it was originally built with a distinctive image resembling an aluminum and glass accordion bellows turned on its end. The building was stripped to its structural element in 2003 to prepare it for this extensive renovation. The adaptive reuse converted the structure into a new 148-room, 117,823 square foot Hampton Inn and Suites. The hotel includes four elegantly tailored executive two-story suites, an indoor pool, recreational spa, workout facilities, conference amenities and provisional services. This site was a zero lot line project with virtually no lay down area it included significant structural demolition and build back, increasing the height by 1 story and completely new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
